Food For Thought: Bravo For Avo

This week we are featuring the team favorite, AVOCADO! 

I scream for i... well it doesn’t quite rhyme but it’s just as creamy. Did you know that avocados are classified as a fruit, and more specifically a single-seeded berry? Don’t let its green complexion fool you, however green is still good! Avocados are a great source of vitamins A, C, E, K, and B6 and not to mention is has more potassium than a banana. Avocados also help our bodies absorb more nutrients because it is loaded with healthy fats. Avocados can even be substituted in some recipes for butter… but we will just have to save those recipes for next week ;)
